REHADAT Canada holds detailed information about various aspects of the vocational rehabilitation process. Six public access databases provide disability management professionals with a wealth of information to aid in the vocational integration process.

REHADAT is an information system designed to support the vocational integration of disabled persons. REHADAT is international in scope, with locations in Germany, Canada and Australia. REHADAT Canada holds detailed information about various aspects of the vocational rehabilitation process. Six public access databases (assistive devices, case studies, disability management practices, literature, policies and language, research) provide disability management professionals with a wealth of information to aid in the vocational integration process.

Information System on Vocational REHABILITATION

REHADAT was developed in the 1980's by Germany's Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in collaboration with the Institut der deutschen Wirtschaft. It represents the most comprehensive and widely used electronic collection of information on vocational rehabilitation in the world today.

In 1995, the government of Germany awarded the National Institute of Disability Management and Research the exclusive rights to develop REHADAT in Canada. The development of REHADAT Canada has two main objectives:
