LEADING TO A BETTER WAY: Disability Management in the Workplace

Produced in partnership with the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia and a number of business, industry, labour and government organizations from across Canada, this booklet was developed as a promotional tool to introduce the benefits of collaborative consensus-based disability management programs in the workplace. The message is simple: “Workplace disability management programs ‘clear the way for the future’ and create a win-win situation for everyone.”

Leading to a Better Way looks at Assessing the Impact, Cooperating on Solutions, Realizing the Benefits, Putting Best Practices to Work, and Leading by Example.

It shows clearly that leading representatives from business, labour and government are rising above conflicting interests, politics and ideologies and are working together to implement effective disability management programs in the workplace—effective Disability Management Programs where consensus based collaboration is the key, as is creativity and commitment.

This booklet is ideal for promoting disability management programs in the workplace.
