Appointment to Minister's Council

Wolfgang Zimmermann has joined the Minister's Council on Employment for Persons with Disabilities for British Columbia, established in 2003 to advise the Ministry of Employment and Income Assistance on solutions and strategies for increasing the employment, employability and independence of persons with disabilities. The Council is composed of key representatives from the business, government, community, and education and training sectors throughout the province.

"Zimmermann was recommended based on his experience and expertise in labour relations, disability management and advocacy in both the public and private sectors. We're exceptionally pleased Mr. Zimmermann has joined the Council," said Minister of Employment and Income Assistance, Claude Richmond. "His experience, both as a person with a disability and as an advocate for others, will be incredibly valuable as we continue our important work improving employment opportunities for people with disabilities in B.C."
