NIDMAR Featured In Globe and Mail

Wolfgang Zimmermann, NIDMAR's Executive Director, discussed disability management and return to work initiatives as a strategy being embraced by a growing number of Canadian and international employers and unions as a major approach towards reducing the human and economic cost of disability in the June 18, 2003 edition of the Globe and Mail.

Disability Management in the workplace is being discussed more and more within industry due to the tremendous social and economic cost of employee injury and illness. Increasingly, employers are trying to bring their injured and disabled workers back to the workplace in a timely fashion. The research and efforts of NIDMAR have recently reached beyond Canada to Germany where the Consensus Based Disability Management Audit™ (CBDMA™) license was officially transferred to the German Federation of Workers Compensation Boards (HVBG).
