First German Certified

In a ceremony at the Ford Motor Company in Cologne, Germany on June 13, the first European was presented with the Certified Disability Management Professional™ (CDMP™) designation.

Dr. Joachim Breuer, Director General of the Federation of German Workers Compensation Boards (Hauptverband der gewerblichen Berufsgenossenschaften [HVBG]), the organization which has licensed the CDMP™ and the CRTWC™ designations for Germany, presented the CDMP™ certificate to Heinz Breidenbach, Disability Manager of the Ford Motor Company’s Cologne plant.

Also speaking at the presentation were Mr. Bernhard Mattes, Chief Executive Officer for Ford Germany (seen on the right in the picture presenting the certificate to Heinz Breidenbach on the left); Mr. Dieter Hinkelmann, Chair of the Works Council for IG Metall; Horst Guenther, former State Secretary of the German Government; Dr. Erich Knuelle, Disability Management and Occupational Health Systems, Ford, Cologne; Dr. Hans-Martin Schian, Scientific Executive Director, Institut für Qualitätssicherung in Prävention und Rehabilitation; and Wolfgang Zimmermann, Executive Director of NIDMAR.
